Enjoy the view.
Start on land with safety and paddling guidance, then head onto the lake seated. Practise turning and stopping before trying to stand. All necessary equipment is included.

A step-by-step programme for beginners. Get used to the board and water before standing, then experience the balance and movement of SUP.

03 / PRICE
Get out on
Lake Chuzenji.
Guide and equipment rental included. Book together with your stay.
An additional JPY 1,000 applies when participating alone.
Children ride on a parent or guardian's board. Maximum one child per board.
A younger child may be able to paddle independently, subject to booking availability. The adult rate applies in that case. Please consult us in advance.

Freshen up
after the lake.
After your tour, you can use the changing rooms and showers at ZEN RESORT NIKKO free of charge. Check-in and departure are also at the resort entrance.
05 / BEFORE YOU GO
Three things to know before booking.
Tours normally run in the rain. We cancel if thunderstorms, strong winds, high waves or other conditions are judged unsafe. We will notify you by phone or on site that morning.
Wear clothes you do not mind getting wet. Bring suitable footwear that can get wet, such as sandals, slippers or trainers.
Small and medium-sized dogs weighing 10 kg or less may ride with you. Dog life jackets are available. Book ROOM 03 and contact us in advance .

How do I book?
Select the accommodation plan with a SUP tour on our official booking site. Guests with room-only bookings may also be able to join on the day, subject to availability.
Can I change my dates, plan or number of guests?
Make changes through the booking confirmation page. Changes to guest numbers may not be possible depending on availability. Cancellation charges may also apply when changing dates.
Can I join SUP without staying overnight?
SUP tours are exclusively for glamping guests at ZEN RESORT NIKKO. Tours cannot be booked on their own.
Can I bring my own SUP board?
Yes, but the tour price remains the same. Please consult us in advance.
Are changing rooms and showers available?
You can use the changing rooms and showers at the resort free of charge.
Do tours run in the rain?
Tours normally run in the rain. We cancel if thunderstorms, strong winds, high waves or other conditions are judged unsafe.
Will I receive a refund for a weather cancellation?
If we cancel before departure, you receive a full refund. If sudden weather changes force us to end a tour after departure, we refund 25%. No refund is available for same-day cancellations made for your own reasons.
What clothes and shoes should I bring?
Wear clothes and footwear you do not mind getting wet. Sandals, slippers or trainers can be worn.
What is the minimum age?
Under the current rates, children may participate from age 5. One young child may ride on a parent or guardian's board. Independent paddling may be possible depending on booking availability, at the adult rate. Please discuss age categories and independent paddling before booking.
Can my dog ride with me?
Small and medium-sized dogs weighing 10 kg or less may ride with you. Dog life jackets are available. Please consult us in advance and book the dog-friendly ROOM 03.
